Day 1 Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will meet you outside the customs of Beijing Airport holding a board with your name on it, and then transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day will be on your own. You can either have a rest to recover from the journey or have a stroll around the hotel.
Day 2 Beijing
Wander through Tian'anmen Square, the largest city square in the world,First built during the Ming dynasty in 1420, Tiananmen was the entrance to the Imperial City, within which the Forbidden City was located.The Forbidden City is a palace complex in central Beijing, China. The former Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynastyto the end of the Qing dynasty (the years 1420 to 1912), it now houses the Palace Museum. The Forbidden City served as the home of emperors and their households as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government for almost 500 years.visit the Temple of Heaven, where emperors offered sacrifices to the God of Heaven in ancient time. For emperors, offering sacrifices at the Temple of Heaven was the most solemn among all ceremonies, hence making it a holy place.
Day 3 Beijing
In the morning will take you to climb the Great Wall of China at Badaling section,which is the most representative and magnificent section of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty. It has been open to the public the longest (since 1957). It is easily accessible and has easy walking conditions.
The siting of the Ming dynasty imperial tombs was carefully chosen according to Feng Shui (geomancy) principles. According to these, bad spirits and evil winds descending from the North must be deflected; therefore, an arc-shaped valley area at the foot of the Jundu Mountains, north of Beijing, was selected. This 40 square kilometer area—enclosed by the mountains in a pristine, quiet valley full of dark earth, tranquil water and other necessities as per Feng Shui—would become the necropolis of the Ming dynasty.
On the way back to hotel,our car will stop for a while at the Bird Nest,you may get off and take a picture for the grand design.
Day 4 Beijing-Xi’an
This morning your guide will lead you pay a visit to the summer palace,a luxury resort used by the royal family for leisure and entertainment. Embodying the essence of classical architecture from different areas of the country, the royal garden is especially famous for its delicate scenery and ingenious layout. Afterwards, you will take a rickshaw to explore the Old Hutongs, which is the city's most culturally vibrant area. Then, you will take a high-speed train to Xian for around 5 hours. Our guide will greet you at the railway station and escort you to check in at the hotel.
Day 5 Xi’an
The Terracotta Army is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. It is a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210–209 BCE and whose purpose was to protect the emperor in his afterlife.
visit the 600-year-old ancient city wall. Walking along Xi'an City Wall provides a good view of the city. You can also rent a bike to cycle around the wall.
Day 6 Xi’an-Chongqing
This morning you will visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda & Xian Museum, both of which are set in a nice park. Although it has gone through more than 1300 years' of vicissitudes, the Small Wild Goose Pagoda looks still elegant and exquisite with its original features.
Then you will head to Chongqing by flight( or high-speed train). Your guide in Chongqing will arrange dinner for you and help you to check-in for a Yangtze River cruise that departs at 9pm.
Day 7 Chongqing-Shibaozhai
Enjoy a leisurely morning watching the scenery of riverbanks passing by. In the afternoon, have a short visit to Shibaozhai – a magnificent red pavilion providing a walkway to the top of a solitary hill , built leaning on the Jade Seal Mountain, with upturned eaves and unique appearance, is one of the rare existing wood structure buildings. and see the spectacular views of the surrounding area. An optional tour to Fengdu Ghost City awaits those who are interested in mystical matters.
Day8 Xiling Gorge
You'll pass through Qutang and Wu Gorge, two of the magnificent three gorges, during the morning, so be ready with a camera. The majesty of nature presents itself to you as you sit back and relax.The afternoon is dedicated to visiting Shennong Stream, which has rushing waterfalls and an ancient plank path leading to suspended coffins in a cliff.In the evening, the ship's crew will give a performance for your entertainment.
Day 9 Yichang-Shanghai
The Three Gorges Dam is the highlight of the day, and a visit to the top of the dam gives you some great photo opportunities. The vast ship locks are a wonder of engineering, but seeing is believing. You will learn more about the world's biggest hydroelectric project firsthand.
After arriving in Yichang, enjoy a quick lunch and you will be taken to the airport for your flight to Shanghai.
Day 10 Shanghai
Your first stop of private Shanghai tour is the Shanghai Museum, which is a fantastic art gallery exhibiting bronze, ceramics, paintings, jade and furniture of ancient times. The next destination is the famous Yuyuan Garden, an elegant private garden built 400 years ago.In the afternoon, you will take a short cruise along the Huangpu River to obtain different city views of both banks. After that, we will leave you some free time to walk along the Bund area at a leisurely step and then visit an old street.
Day 11 Departure from Shanghai
Your private car driver and guide will transport you to the airport and take you all the way to the security gate for your convenience. Relax all the way to the airplane with us.
