Our guide will pick you up outside the Baggage Claim Area of the airport and transfer you to downtown Chongqing. If time permits, you will take a brief private city travel to the Panda House of Chongqing Zoo and the General Joseph W. Stilwell Museum. After that, we will transfer you to board the luxurious Gold Cruise Ship. As the cruise sets sail at 21:30 tonight, your fantastic Yangtze River journey begins.

After breakfast, the river guide will give you a brief introduction on the cruise and the daily schedule of your ship ride. At around 08:00, the cruise will disembark at Fengdu and you will have an onshore excursion to the Ghost City. In the legend, Netherworld is the home of a deceased's soul. Mixing Confucian, Buddhist and Taoist folk culture, Fengdu is a treasure-house of arts. Covered with luxuriant trees and interspersed with temples and pavilions, the whole scenic area is more like a landscape painting rather than a "Ghost City". Back to the cruise ship, you will be invited to join in the Captain's Welcome Party.

The ship is going to sail through Qutang Gorge and later Wu Gorge. Qutang Gorge is the shortest one among the famous Three Gorges. But the grand and precipitous cliffs, narrow and sinuous river way, impetuous and surgent torrent make it to be the most exciting and imposing part of the river. Measuring about 40 kilometers long, Wu Gorge is the most beautiful one among the Three Gorges. It is especially famous for deep valley and elegant beauty. Passing through Wu Gorge, you will feel like entering a winding gallery of paintings. Then, you will disembark at Wushan for an excursion to Three Little Gorges in motorized ferry, which features picturesque natural scenery, distinctive Tujia minority culture and valued historical relics. In the afternoon, continue sailing into Xiling Gorge, the longest one among the three. Once the most dangerous part with numerous reefs, riffles and rocks, Xiling Gorge is gentler and milder after years of rectification and improvement on the river way as well as the building of Gezhou Dam. At about 18:00, you will pass through the three gorges ship lock.

After a whole night's sailing, the ship will stop at Sandouping town. You will disembark to visit the Three Gorges Dam, the grandest hydroelectric project in the world. It has brought great benefits in flood control, power generation, navigation and tourism. Before that, you should pack your luggage and follow the check-out procedures of the cruise company. After finishing the excursion, the cruise ship company will drive you to the Three Gorges Tourist Center in Yichang city. Our local guide will meet you there. If time permits, you will pay a visit to Yichang Museum. After that, our guide will transfer you to the airport for your return flight and say farewell.
