Day 1 Arrival in Shanghai

Your Classic China tour starts when your international flight touches down at Shanghai Airport. Our thoughtful tour guide will meet you at the baggage claim site and help you check into the comfortable hotel that we have reserved for you. The rest of the day is left free for you to get familiar with your surroundings or to rest at the hotel to recover from jet lag.

Day 2 Shanghai

Shanghai Museum,Yuyuan,The Bund

Your first stop of private Shanghai tour is the Shanghai Museum, which is a fantastic art gallery exhibiting bronze, ceramics, paintings, jade and furniture of ancient times. The next destination is the famous Yuyuan Garden, an elegant private garden built 400 years ago.In the afternoon, you will take a short cruise along the Huangpu River to obtain different city views of both banks. After that, we will leave you some free time to walk along the Bund area at a leisurely step and then visit an old street. 

Day 3 Shanghai-Huangshan

Anhui Hongcun

You will take a high-Speed train to Huangshan this morning.Our local guide will meet you at Huangshan Railway Station and take you to check in at the hotel. After a short rest, we'll drive to Hongcun Village located at the foot of the Yellow Mountains. The village showcases captivating scenery and preserved residences of southern Anhui characteristics. This is a fantastic photography site where you can capture the breathtaking sunset.

Day 4 Huangshan

After breakfast, we will drive to the foot of the Yellow Mountain. It takes around one hour. Upon arrival, your Yellow Mountain hiking tour starts with a 10-mins Yungu cable car ride, which offers splendid views. The trekking today goes from the White Goose Ridge (Bai E Ling) to Beginning-to-Believe Peak (Shi Xin Feng). Around noon, you will enjoy a buffet lunch at Paiyunlou Hotel. After you check in at the Hotel, the rest of the day is free for you to explore on your own. If you are tired, you can rest in the hotel, or you can hike a bit to watch the sunset.

Day 5 Huangshan-Wuyishan

Bright Summit,West Sea Grand Canyon

After breakfast, accompanied by our guide, you will continue your Yellow Mountain exploration from the Falling Rock from Sky, and trek forward to the Bright Summit, the best site to see the surrounding rolling peaks, and then to Lion Peak. Hiking at the West Sea Grand Canyon will be thrilling and enable you to admire the most majestic landscapes. The hiking ends with the Yungu cable car down the mountain. From there you will take a bullet train for 1.5 hours to Wuyishan, where you will be picked up from the East Railway Station and escorted to the hotel which has been booked by us.

Day 6 Wuyishan

Mt.Wuyi

Mount Wuyi is a prestigious attraction with ravishing Danxia landscape and profound religious culture. First, follow your guide to Tianyou Peak by cable car. It is one of the most magnificent peaks of Wuyi Mountain, and the viewing deck on the top has an amazing panoramic view of the nearby peaks. If the weather is good, you will be able to glimpse the stunning sea of clouds. After the lunch break, we move on to the highlight of Mt. Wuyi, Nine-bend Stream, where we will take a bamboo raft for a memorable experience of a lifetime. The rafting usually lasts about 2-3 hours. After debarkation we will explore the Song Street and Wuyi Palace.

Day 7 Wuyishan-Xiamen

Dahongpao Scenic Spot

The morning we will visit one of the essences of Mt. Wuyi, Dahongpao Scenic Spot, famous for Dahongpao rock tea trees. On the way, you may see tea gardens in terraces, and our guide will brief you on the history and culture of tea. After that, we will visit Xiamei Ancient Village consisting of densely clustered folk residences of the Ming and Qing styles with fine tile engravings and wood carvings. You will have some free time here to explore the old docks, wells, markets and alleys at your own pace.

At the end of the tour you will hop on a high-speed train bound for Xiamen, where you will be picked up and escorted to a comfortable hotel by our professional guide and driver.


Day 8 Xiamen

Gulangyu Island

This morning, we will take a boat ride to Gulangyu Island. This is an ideal place to appreciate the seaside landscape, boasting lush plantation, old-styled architecture, and exquisite dwellings. The guide will show you Shuzhuang Garden, a delicate traditional Chinese villa, and the Piano Museum.

For lunch, you will have local cuisine at a fancy restaurant. After a short break, you will visit Hai Tian Tang Gou, a century-old villa combining traditional Chinese and European styles. There are bars and cafes available, and at the Performance & Art Center, you will be entertained by the wonderful hand puppet show and Fujian Nanyin music show.


Day 10 Xiamen

Hongkeng Tulou Cluster

A 3-hour car ride will take you to the renowned Hongkeng Tulou Cluster in Yongding to start the tour from Shanghai to Fujian Tulou. Hongkeng Village is famous for Hakka earthen towers in round and square shapes. Our guide will show you the most typical ones, including the Zhencheng Tower, Kuiju Tower and Rusheng Tower. Most of these dwellings could accommodate over 1,000 people. While you are here you can chat with local residents to learn more about Hakka culture. Finally, we will take you back to your hotel.

Day 11 Departure from Xiamen

Your memorable odyssey journey of China is over. Our guide will escort you to the airport and see you off. If there is no direct flight from Xiamen to your next destination, we suggest you transfer at the Hong Kong airport.
