Day 1 Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will meet you outside the customs of Beijing Airport holding a board with your name on it, and then transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day will be on your own. You can either have a rest to recover from the journey or have a stroll around the hotel.
Day 2 Beijing
Your trip today will start from the magnificent Tian'anmen Square, the largest city square in the world,First built during the Ming dynasty in 1420, Tiananmen was the entrance to the Imperial City, within which the Forbidden City was located.The Forbidden City is a palace complex in central Beijing, China. The former Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynastyto the end of the Qing dynasty (the years 1420 to 1912), it now houses the Palace Museum. The Forbidden City served as the home of emperors and their households as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government for almost 500 years.visit the Temple of Heaven, where emperors offered sacrifices to the God of Heaven in ancient time. For emperors, offering sacrifices at the Temple of Heaven was the most solemn among all ceremonies, hence making it a holy place.
Day 3 Beijing
In the morning will take you to climb the Great Wall of China at Badaling section,which is the most representative and magnificent section of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty. It has been open to the public the longest (since 1957). It is easily accessible and has easy walking conditions.
The siting of the Ming dynasty imperial tombs was carefully chosen according to Feng Shui (geomancy) principles. According to these, bad spirits and evil winds descending from the North must be deflected; therefore, an arc-shaped valley area at the foot of the Jundu Mountains, north of Beijing, was selected. This 40 square kilometer area—enclosed by the mountains in a pristine, quiet valley full of dark earth, tranquil water and other necessities as per Feng Shui—would become the necropolis of the Ming dynasty.
On the way back to hotel,our car will stop for a while at the Bird Nest,you may get off and take a picture for the grand design.
Day 4 Beijing-Xi’an
This morning your guide will lead you pay a visit to the summer palace,a luxury resort used by the royal family for leisure and entertainment. Embodying the essence of classical architecture from different areas of the country, the royal garden is especially famous for its delicate scenery and ingenious layout. Afterwards, you will take a rickshaw to explore the Old Hutongs, which is the city's most culturally vibrant area. Then, you will take a high-speed train to Xian for around 4.5 hours. Our guide will greet you at the railway station and escort you to check in at the hotel.
Day 5 Xi’an
This morning, you will visit the mighty City Wall and Shaanxi History Museum. The City Wall is quite definitely the pride of Xian. The old and firm circumvallation is complemented by a forested area around the wall. Its moat and ring road consist of a special and unique park that, like a shining necklace, adorns the ancient capital city of thirteen dynasties. If you are interested, you may rent a bicycle to ride on the ancient wall.
Day 7 Xi’an-Chengdu
After breakfast, the guide sees you off at the North Railway Station for your morning high speed train to Chengdu. The train journey takes around 4 hours. Upon your arrival, our local guide will meet you and help you check in at the hotel. Our guide will also be very helpful to provide you some suggestions. This afternoon is left free for you to arrange activities on your own.
Day 8 Chengdu
A visit to the adorable giant panda is a must in Chengdu. This morning, the guide will take you to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to see the lovely creatures as they feed and play with each other.
Your visit continues to Jinsha Site Museum in the afternoon. Then the guide will take you to the Broad and Narrow Alleys to experience the lifestyle of old Chengdu.
Day 9 Chengdu-Chongqing
This morning is free for you to explore the city. After that your guide will transfer you to the railway station to catch a bullet train to Chongqing. Upon your arrival, our guide in Chongqing will meet you at the station and transfer you to board the luxurious President No. 8 ship (5 stars) for a three-day Yangtze River cruise.
Day 10 Shibaozhai
The buffet breakfast is served between 07:00 and 08:00 at the dining hall, after which the river guide will give a brief introduction to the itinerary and the facilities on the ship. Then the whole morning is free for you to relax or admire the scenery from the deck. At about 14:00, you will have a shore excursion to Shibaozhai. Then re-embark and continue the cruise trip. Dinner is served at 18:00. Then the Captain's Welcome Party follows, when there are singing and dancing programs and interesting games. Visitors are also encouraged to give performances.
Day 11 Badong - Xiling Gorge
Today continue to sail downstream of Yangte River. You will disembark at Badong and connect a smaller ship to take an exciting pea-boat floating along Shennong Stream. Originating from Shennongjia Mountain in Hubei Province, the stream flows for 60 km from south to north through valleys and merges into Yangtze River at Wu Gorge. Sitting in this local special pea-boat, you will see grotesque peaks and cliffs, mysterious hanging coffins, beautiful waterfalls, and various kinds of vegetation. The guide and the boat trackers will also sing the folk songs of Tujia people.
Afterwards, re-embark the ship and continue the cruise into the western section of Xiling Gorge, the longest of the three gorges.
Day 12 Yichang-Shanghai
After breakfast, you will check out and disembark for an excursion to the Three Gorges Dam. As the world's largest hydro-electric project, it makes great an economic contribution by generating energy, preventing flood, and filtering sediment. Then you will be transfered to the Three Gorges Tourist Center in Yichang city, where our local guide will pick you up and take you for lunch.
Afterwards, you will get to the airport for the flight to Shanghai, which is the last destination of your trip. A local guide will meet you at the airport upon your arrival and transfer you to the hotel. Have a good rest for the remainder of the day.
Day 13 Shanghai
Your first stop of private Shanghai tour is the Shanghai Museum, which is a fantastic art gallery exhibiting bronze, ceramics, paintings, jade and furniture of ancient times. The next destination is the famous Yuyuan Garden, an elegant private garden built 400 years ago.In the afternoon, you will take a short cruise along the Huangpu River to obtain different city views of both banks. After that, we will leave you some free time to walk along the Bund area at a leisurely step and then visit an old street.
Day 14 Departure from Shanghai
Your private car driver and guide will transport you to the airport and take you all the way to the security gate for your convenience. Relax all the way to the airplane with us.
